Allegedly Boris Johnson has told Peter Cruddas, the peer running a campaign to give Conservative Party members a vote on whether to accept Johnson’s resignation as Tory leader, that he “does not want to resign” and “wants to fight the next general election as leader of the party.”
Well, as entertaining as that might be (just to see Brand and Peston explode), it simply isn't going to happen.
However, if Cruddas and others don't back off this will split the vote for Truss and let Sunak in.
