Ask a question at the next coronavirus press conference

The government will answer one question from a member of the public at the daily coronavirus (COVID-19) press conference.

If you’re over 18, you can use this service to submit a question. If your question is chosen, a cabinet minister will answer it during the live broadcast.

Questions are reviewed at midday on the day of the press conference. Only one question will be selected each day.

Ministers will not see the question before the press conference.

How questions are chosen

Questions are chosen by an independent polling organisation. The government is not involved in choosing questions.

What happens if your question is chosen

If your question is chosen, we will contact you by 3pm on the day of the press conference.

You’ll be asked if you want to record a short video of yourself asking your question. The video will be shown during the live broadcast.

If you do not want to record a video, your question will be read out for you at the press conference.

Semi Virtual Parliament To Open Tomorrow

Parliament will resume tomorrow (Tuesday) with a maximum of 50 in either chamber, with rigorous requirement for social distancing.

The Commons chamber will have large TV screens placed where the clocks are now sited, above the Speaker's chair and attached to the galleries facing the government and opposition benches, so that remote contributions can be seen by everyone on the benches.

Let's see how that works then!
