Semi Virtual Parliament To Open Tomorrow

Parliament will resume tomorrow (Tuesday) with a maximum of 50 in either chamber, with rigorous requirement for social distancing.

The Commons chamber will have large TV screens placed where the clocks are now sited, above the Speaker's chair and attached to the galleries facing the government and opposition benches, so that remote contributions can be seen by everyone on the benches.

Let's see how that works then!

The Shouty Parliament

Parliament has shouted itself to a standstill, and has achieved nothing since the Supreme Court unprorogued it.

Cabbies Blockade Parliament

As our "respected" elected representatives prepare to head off for their 47 day summer holiday, London cabbies have given them a taste of what the rest of London will have to endure for the next seven weeks (courtesy of the Olympics) by blockading Parliament.

Well done the cabbies!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

No, I have not skipped a few pages in my diary, I am merely following the example of our "respected" political elite who have risen from Westminster for the Easter recess (which will last three weeks).

Easter, for those who pay the politicians' wages (ie everyone else), is still ten days away!

Incidentally, in case you were wondering, Parliament will sit only 21 days during the next 75 days.

There's value for money for you!
