Time To Move On - Government Abandons Bin Pledge

The government is to abandon its pledge to restore weekly bin collections.

A government, abandoning a pledge??

Surely not!?

The Telegraph quotes a government source:

“It is a very expensive scheme and it has proved to be a pretty ineffective one.

It would be very surprising if it survives the spending review. 

There are other priorities. 

It’s time to move on.” 

Maybe political parties should stop promising what they know they can't deliver!
