For reasons best known to itself, the Tory party has descended into madness.

Today's insanity includes sniping about earrings and suits!

The Rake's Progress

The Guardian notes that some Tory rebels are mulling “vote strikes” to block government business. 

“One likened the situation the prime minister faced to a scene from The Simpsons, in which the character Sideshow Bob is encircled by rakes and continually hit by them as he steps in different directions.” 

It is utterly absurd for MPs, who allegedly respect democracy, to actively work against democracy when a vote doesn't go their way!

He will be speaking from a specially constructed platform, which is larger than the ones used by the other speakers during the conference.

Tories Whipping Labour MPs

Such is the bizarre state of British politics, that we have finally crossed through the looking glass, and are now in a world where Tory ministers are in talks with aaround 25 Labour MPs to secure Theresa May's widely despised Chequers Brexit deal.

Seemingly the Government’s whips’ office has spent recent months making contact with the MPs, as a back-up option for when May’s Brexit deal is put to a vote in Parliament in early December.

Methinks certain Tories will not be best pleased by this!
