Labour's insanely protracted leadership election finally gets put out of its misery at midday today when the polls close.

Needless to say, in order to maximise the damage to itself, Labour won't announce the results until Saturday.

However, Smith has all but conceded. Thus Labour will continue on its path to obscurity!
