Everyone Wants To Be A Leader - Except Ken!

It seems that the entire parliamentary Tory Party is thinking of standing in the leadership contest, apart from Ken Clarke.

Which is really rather a pity I think!

Factoid: briefly (very briefly) encountered him many years ago in the Diplomat Hotel Stockholm. A thoroughly charming, unpretentious and courteous man!

A Dignified Resignation Speech

Good-bye-ee! Good-bye-ee! Wipe a Tear Baby Dear From Your Eye-ee

Resigns as leader, but stays on as PM to meet Trump and attend 75th anniversary of D Day memorial..oh and until Tories elect new leader.

What A "Time To Be Alive"!

Gone by Monday (possibly as early as Friday).

Then who takes charge whilst the Tories elect a new leader, and will Trump still pay a state visit?

Vote Brexit To Get Rid of May

As I noted on The Brexit Blog:
"May has managed to make a terrible situation worse, and it is clear that aside from being delusional she is deliberately trying to make the situation untenable/unfeasible for whoever replaces her as PM.

When a leader goes mad he/she abrogates the right to loyalty and must be removed immediately, lest that person builds their funeral pyre on the lives of others!"
As such she needs to go ASAP, for this to happen the Tory Party needs to grow some balls (as they had when they ditched Maggie).

Sadly the only way they will grow their balls is for them to be given one hell of a shock, with luck this will be provided by the Brexit Party smashing it on Thursday.

Therefore, those Tories who want May out need to vote Brexit.

Who's My Bitch Now?

Theresa May's aides reported Gavin Williamson – who was then Chief Whip - to her in 2016 for allegedly telling other MPs she was “a charisma free bitch ”.

The Sun reports that in a defiant riposte that showed the PM thought she could control Mr Williamson's ways, Mrs May told her staff: “Well he’s my bitch now”.

Time has effluxed, and the tables appear to have turned!

The Local Elections

The two main parties have received a well deserved kicking, thusfar (be aware that many results have yet to be announced).

Thusfar the two issues that have pissed people off are:

1 Brexit (sort it!), and

2 Corbyn (dump him).

I can guarantee that neither of the two main political parties will address these two issues!

Gavin Williamson, Innocent or Guilty? - The Telegraph Holds The Key

Gavin Williamson insists that he was not responsible for the Huawei leak, May insists that he was and has sacked him.

Now, aside from Williamson, there is at least one other party who knows for sure if Williamson is the leaker; namely the Daily Telegraph which broke the news of the Huawei deal, based on information received from the leaker.

Today's headline in the paper reads:

"You've got the wrong person".

Up until Williamson was sacked, the Telegraph had an "ethical" duty to protect their source. Now that he has been sacked, and the fact that he continues to insist that he is innocent, that "ethical" duty only stands if he wasn't the leaker.

In the event that he is the leaker, and that he denies it, the Telegraph has a duty to out him as a bare faced liar......if he is the leaker.

I note that they have not outed him!
