It is not without irony that Labour Mayor Khan has forced the resignation of the first woman and LGBT head of the Met, over allegations about the treatment of women and gay men.

Like it or not Dame Dick and Mayor Khan aren't going anywhere.

This is despite presiding over:

-unsafe streets for many years (muggings, assaults, knife crime, murders etc)

-allowing the BLM and XR rabble to disrupt and damage London last year, and

-this weekend's debacle over the the vigil

Khan will easily win re-election to the post of mayor this May, and Dick has been given the public backing of both the PM and Home Secretary (which means she will see her five year role through until the end next year).

All of this means that the streets of London will not become any safer.
