Advice To The Government Re COBRA
COBRA is not the go to solution for every single crisis we face.
In fact, it rarely provides a solution to any of the crises that we face.

Burnham To Bring Back Rationing
Today Burnham will make a speech entitled "Recapturing The Spirit of '45", in a bid to recapture the spirit of Clement Attlee’s Government, and slam the modern Labour Party for being “too frightened by its own shadow”.
As such, he intends to bring back rationing and national service.

A Very Labour Coup
It seems that Labour is so fearful of Corbyn that, if he wins the leadership contest, there will be a coup within the party to remove him before the next general election in 2020.
So much for democracy eh?

Leadership By Example In Glasgow
As per the Evening Times, it appears that some Glaswegian councillors have a wee bit of reluctance paying their council tax bills:
"More than a third of Glasgow’s councillors have been rapped for failing to pay council tax, new figures show. This does not bode well for the finances of a country that wishes to become independent and manage its own affairs without subsidy from England.
Over the past two years, 27 councillors have been sent reminder notices advising that they had fallen behind with payments.
The figures, obtained by Freedom of Information laws, show that 10 councillors had to be reminded to pay their council tax in 2013-2014 and 11 failed to make payments the following year.
So far this year – in four months – six councillors out of 75 have been sent reminder notices by the local authority."

In the event anyone is really interested, there are still five months or so until Labour (if it still around then) declares the results of its leadership election.

Not content with almost destroying their party in the early 1980's, Labour are having another attempt at political suicide in the early 21st century.
