 Alex Salmond has launched a new political party (Alba), with the alleged intention of helping create a "super majority" for independence.

Salmond claims that the party is no threat to the SNP (thanks to the peculiarities of the Scottish electoral system).

However, Sturgeon is less than happy and a number of SNP members have jumped ship.

Salmond Netted £30K Golden Goodbye

The Telegraph reports that Alex Salmond accepted a taxpayer-funded “golden goodbye” worth nearly £30,000 when he stood down from the Scottish Parliament this year despite remaining an MP.
