LibLab Pact Sans Corbyn?
Tom and I have disagreed on a lot of things over the years but on Brexit, we’re united. Working with other parties is the only way to stop Boris, and stop Brexit.https://t.co/amkqhHjx4L— Jo Swinson (@joswinson) August 13, 2019

Whither The Lib Dems?
Spare a thought for the Lib Dems, a centrist party opposed to Brexit that is behind in the polls to an imaginary centrist party that is opposed to Brexit. https://t.co/MkHdLatExc

Enigmatic Farron
Tim Farron’s parting shot, as per the Independent:
“We are kidding ourselves if we think we live in a liberal and tolerant society.”Now then, does he mean that his party couldn't tolerate him being a Christian, or that society couldn't tolerate him having non pc views?

Cameron Frets Over Legacy
It seems that David Cameron's days in office are numbered. That at least is the conclusion one must draw if the report in the Telegraph about Cameron fretting over his legacy is anything to go by:
"Cameron has started to wonder where his Government is going, and has been asking aides what his legacy will be."As I noted the other day, the government is in office but it is most certainly not in power. The Telegraph agrees:
"Mr Cameron and Mr Osborne do not regard themselves as being in power, but instead believe they are trapped – by the opinion polls, by the Liberal Democrats, by the Civil Service, by the bond markets, or by all four."Where to now for Cameron and Osborne?
Wherever the opinion polls lead and the LIEBOR scandal leads!
