Grant Shapps has been appointed Defence Secretary, taking over from Ben Wallace.

Shapps has had six months in Energy, three months in Business and three days as Home Secretary.

Quite the jack of all trades!

Why were people put on to the barge before the results of the tests were known?

I suggest that someone in the Home Orifice took a gamble that the test would be negative, so that the arrival of the first migrants would fit into "Stop The Boats Week".
