Scottish Independence To Set Economy Back 10 Years

Scotland's economy would take up to 10 years to recover if the country became independent, according to the SNP's top economic adviser Andrew Wilson (who heads up the Growth Commission set up by Nicola Sturgeon to examine an independent Scotland's economic prospects).

This therefore begs the question why on earth does Sturgeon want independence?

Maybe she feels it is better for her to be a large fish in a very small pond (leading a Scotland that is out of the UK, out of the EU and out of NATO), rather than a small fish in a large one?

Scotland's Generational Problem

Question: When is "once in a generation" only little more than two years?

Answer: When it relates to a referendum result that doesn't suit Nicola Sturgeon!

Corbyn Denies Supporting Scottish Referendum

Now that Sturgeon is reportedly going to give Theresa May an ultimatum wrt Brexit and Scottish Independence, Corbyn now claims that he doesn't support a second Scottish referendum.

All of which is entirely irrelevant, as May will veto any referendum during Brexit.

Philip Hammond Takes Us Through The Looking Glass

 

The Tory Chancellor (Philip Hammond), for reasons best known to himself, has decided to increase class 4 NI rates (ie increase taxes) on the self employed in yesterday's Budget.

Labour, for its part, are criticising this increase in taxes.

We truly have passed through the looking glass!

When releasing your tax return, in order to upstage others and make a political point, at least make sure you have filled it in correctly!
