Diane Abbott Deletes Tweet Berating David Leakey

Diane Abbott Gets Her Facts Wrong and Berates Leakey

Will someone please tell Diane that Leakey was referring to the bullying of others, as quite clearly reported in the Guardian!

As per the Guardian:
"He alleged that the former Speaker “brutalised people” with angry mood swings and outbursts. He told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “He would fly into a rage, the red mist would descend … jumping up and down and balling out. He called me an antisemite once after being rather rude and insulting about my background, education and military career.

“That’s the sort of intolerable behaviour which I called out. I think that John Bercow suggested this is rather opportunistic, but it’s not. I called him out two years ago and I did so because I was speaking up for people who were either unwilling to speak out for themselves or for one reason or another. I think some people have admitted they had gagging clauses and non-disclosure agreements when they left the Commons.

Diane Abbott Speaks Her Mind

According to Diane Abbott on BBC Radio 4 this morning, the reason Corbyn got trashed by Theresa May yesterday was not because he is crap, but because Labour MPs didn't cheer and clap him.

Delusional people are leading Labour into the abyss!

BBC Broke Its Own Rules

The BBC reports that it has broken its own rules wrt paying politicians for appearing on the BBC as representatives of their own party.

It seems that Diane Abbott should not have been paid £5K for her six recent appearances on "This Week".

As per the BBC:
"The Trust has ruled that Labour MP Diane Abbott should not have been paid for recent appearances on flagship political programme This Week.

Ms Abbott, a regular guest with Tory MP Michael Portillo and presenter Andrew Neil, has been paid thousands in appearance fees.

The BBC claimed rules banning payments to MPs representing their parties did not apply as This Week was not a "normal" political show.

But this was rejected by the Trust.

The Trust also ruled the MP's appearances had been "too frequent" since she became a shadow minister.

Complaint
In January crossbench peer Lord Laird complained that Ms Abbott had received five payments of £839 and one of £869 for appearances on This Week.

The BBC's editorial guidelines state that MPs should not be paid for appearances where they are "speaking as a member of their party or expressing political views"."
