Envoy For Nations and Regions MIA

Today is the first meeting of the Council of Nations and Regions. Yet, for reasons known only to herself and No 10, the Envoy for Nations and Regions (Sue Gray) will not be there.

In fact Gary has disappeared from the radar and is, apparently, taking some form of holiday/break whilst she negotiates a large severance package for her 3 months of work.

Gray Lady Down - #SausageGate

Sue Gray, described by some in SW1 as a "toxic influence", is likely to "step down" in the coming days apparently (before Simon Case!).

Given that Starmer is notoriously thin skinned, it is likely that yesterday's #SausageGate farce (allegedly down to a typo) will be blamed on her.

Hoyle Kowtows To The Mob and Sue Gray

Hoyle's decision yesterday to kowtow to the mob (as represented by Starmer and Gray) caused chaos in yesterday's meaningless Gaza vote, and has now put his position in the firing line.

Despite his semi tearful apology, he knows that he can't unfuck this!

Whilst in the short term Labour managed to avoid an embarrassing public split; in the coming months it will realise that by pandering to religious zealots, it has made a rod for its own back.

Labour will reap what they have sown.

The lessons for Labour are as follows:

-Don't kowtow to the mob.

-Don't call political opponents "scum".

-Don't try to placate religious fanatics.

Labour Backtracks on Sue Gray's Soviets Scheme

Sue Gray (Labour's female version of Dominic Cummings, and every bit as popular and well liked) announced in the Times yesterday that Labour would introduce Soviets (aka Citizen Assemblies).

Unsurprisingly the plan has received a drubbing across the political spectrum. A member of Labour's NEC described it as a "stupid idea". Therefore it should come as no surprise to learn that Labour has backtracked on the plan less than 24 hours later.

One other issue that has also caused disquiet in Labour, is why Gray (a political advisor) was the one making the announcement.

As with Cummings, when the messenger overshadows the message it is time to get rid of the messenger!

Labour To Introduce Soviets

Sue Gray (Labour's female version of Dominic Cummings, and every bit as popular) took it upon herself to announce in the Times that Labour would introduce Soviets (aka Citizen Assemblies), in order to give the voters the opportunity to have a say in government policy etc.

The reality of course would be very different, such assemblies are rigged in favour of the politicians (who choose the questions that need to be addressed, and the format of the questions).

It is a lazy way of abrogating responsibility for decision making, and lays itself open to being hijacked by religious and political extremists.

Another matter raises its head here, it is more than a little unusual for a political advisor to be front and centre announcing policies. Was Gray given permission to announce this policy, or is she trying to bounce Starmer into it?

Gray Lady Down

Remember Sue Gray, the eagle-eyed investigator who ruffled feathers in Downing Street with her "Partygate" report?

Well, it seems she's switched sides and joined the Labour lot as their chief of staff. But before she could settle in with a cuppa and a biscuit, she's found herself embroiled in a fresh scandal!

Apparently, there was a leak from a Labour meeting about a potential U-turn on their green investment plan. Sue Gray, ever the terrier, launched an inquiry, and things got a bit, well, heavy-handed. Staffers claim their phones were inspected, interviews were conducted without union reps present, and tears were shed like rain on a British bank holiday. Sounds like a right ol' shambles, doesn't it?

Now, whispers are swirling like leaves in a November gale. Some say Gray overstepped her mark, acting like a Stasi officer instead of a friendly neighbourhood investigator. Others reckon the leak was a deliberate attempt to undermine Labour, and Gray's just doing her job.

But here's the real kicker: Gray herself was in the meeting where the leak originated! Talk about a conflict of interest bigger than Boris Johnson's hair! Some even reckon her own allies might be the culprits, passing on juicy info for a bit of political mischief.

Gray Finally Shows Her True Colours

The Snivel Service is not fit for purpose!

Gray Lady Down

It seems that Sue Gray is not cooperating with the Cabinet Office investigation into her dealings with Starmer. As such, after a hissy fit from Simon Case, the much hyped update from the Cabinet Office has fizzled into nothing.

Gray Lady Down

Starmer is having trouble answering the question as to when he first approached Sue Gray.

None of this would have happened if Simon Case had approved Gray's promotion to work for Kemi.

Gray Lady Down

As the publication of Sue Gray's report (with pictures) is imminent, certain sections of the media (mainly those political activists posing as journalists Brand, Crerar, Coates etc) are reaching peak hysteria levels.

For why?

It has dawned on them that Boris won't be kicked out by Tory MPs and, as such, they are now trying to disparage Gray's yet to be published report, on the grounds that it may not be impartial.

Meanwhile the rest of the country is more concerned with trying to pay for food and energy!

The Moving Finger Writes

Sue Gray's "Update" has provided Boris with a small amount of breathing space.

Whilst he can probably get away with "gatherings" in the garden and the offices of Number 10, it will be a remarkable greasing of the pig if he can get away with attending Carrie's alleged "gatherings" in the private flat above Number 10.

Thus he and the rest of us will have to wait until Dame Dick's colleagues finish their investigations, and Sue Gray can publish her full report...unless of course photos emerge in the meantime of Boris at an alleged Carrie private "gathering".

Schrödinger's Cake

Certain sections of the media have been bleating their dismay this morning over the fact that the Met have asked for certain sections of Sue Gray's report to be redacted, whilst they conduct their investigations.

These are the same sections of the media that were screaming blue murder last week that there wasn't a Met investigation.

It seems that the media wants to have its cake and eat it!
